Sebastian Keitel Family
Sebastian Keitel was born at Good Samaritan Hospital in West Palm Beach, Florida. He spent his formative years in New York City, where he attended The Epiphany School and later the French American School of New York (FASNY) in Larchmont.
After two years at F.E. Bellows School in Mamaroneck, he relocated to Palm Beach, Florida, to continue his education at The Palm Beach Day School, now known as Palm Beach Day Academy.
In the 9th grade, Sebastian commuted daily from Palm Beach to Boca Raton to attend Saint Andrews School. He was a member of the Freshman Basketball team and distinguished himself as one of only three freshmen selected for the Varsity Baseball Team.
Sebastian also served as the Varsity Basketball PA Announcer for two seasons, where he managed public address and sports entertainment duties, including music and sound effects, which deepened his passion for sports media.
He pursued higher education at Southern Methodist University, where he played a pivotal role in establishing the university’s first student-run fashion news show. He graduated with a major in Journalism and a double minor in Fashion Communications and Sports Management.
Sebastian is the son of Rick Keitel, who owned three premier office buildings on Royal Palm Way in Palm Beach. His mother, Diane de la Begassiere, grew up in Paris with her father, Marquis Jacques de la Begassiere, and her mother, Joyce Blaffer. Sebastian is a direct descendant of the late Ferdinand de Lesseps — a French diplomat and later developer of the Suez Canal — who is the inspiration for his luxury brand, De Lesseps
